so that you can have timed poses (as warmups to learn to practice to capture the ESSENCE of the fashion model’s pose first before honing in on details.)
Just like we do in my Model Magic online bootcamp course program.
PRIORITIZE the movement, the proportion, the balance of weight over the feet, and the overall flow above all else.
As you get into the model drawing process
allow yourself to be easy and flowy without over-thinking!!!
ALLOW YOURSELF the freedom also to pause the video and enjoy and go deeper on a single pose when you feeled called to.
LISTEN TO YOURSELF and your intuition will tell you if that feels right.

Bring a spirit of play, of love, TRUST and knowing that the longer you sit in the session, you’ll get more “warmed up” and relaxed. And KNOW that THAT is where the magic happens.

LET THE MUSIC FILL you with feeling. Notice the mood and spirit of each song and notice how that makes you want to approach a fashin model drawing differently, with a different energy or style.
And, if the music annoys you, then pick something you love and sketch to that.
Music helps us to flow, feel, and tap into a mood and stay grounded in our bodies..
This is about learning techniques but not as much as learning about your SELF in the process!
Here we are: for skill development, craftsmanship, experience, creative growth, accuracy, and self expression.
PRO TIPS:
Notice the thumbnail says “stand up”!
Standing while model drawing puts you in a position where you dominate your page, and not the opposite!
This also enables you to make sweeping movements with your arm that move loosely, quickly, and carry enthusiastic energy and movement
Also, standing during fashion model drawing sessions keeps your energy in your whole body flowing (especially with music).
Ideally, though, use an angled and high table, hunching over a low flat table because you are standing won’t help.
a 45 degree angle is wonderful because it’s parallel to the angle of your head and keeps you comfortable.
REMEMBER to draw wtih your arm, not just your fingers.
Begin your drawing by practicing capturing the entire essence of the model’s pose in a single flowing line.
