Laura Volpintesta BFA Parsons 1995, founded Fashion Illustration Tribe, an educational and community site for fashion design and illustration. 27 years teaching Patternmaking, Draping, Sewing, and Illustration, Portfolio, Concept Development, Tech Design/Drawing and Model Drawing. Moved by a desire to "undo" the unrealistic proportions predominantly used in fashion art and to inspire fashion creatives to get the skills to create their own images for fashion's future. Balancing technical and professional with creative, Laura's online courses and live workshops/ lectures inspire fashion designers from beginner to more experienced to look at sustainability, diversity, positivity, music, celebration, culture, community, and joy in their design processes, business models, images, and messages.
