MODEL DRAWING MINDSET FOr Fashion ARTISTS
While we’re still here I’ll tell you some of the secrets of the video and my fashion art teaching philosophy.
If you are afraid of “messy”, you will only know half of your voice. When you “descend” into the “mess “ of imperfection, without judgment, but more with curiosity and observation, your life (and your drawings and paintings) change!!
In real-time fashion drawing sessions for designers or illustrators, your senses come alive. Your emotions come through. You start to see more keenly and truthfully. Your drawing gets more honest, raw, exciting, emotive,…..AND MORE ACCURATE.
Why are we so scared?
Because of myths about art, drawing and creation that are seriously permeated in our culture (possibly to keep us from our own potentional!!)
a new method for model drawing
In my MODEL MAGIC online course, I specifically debunk 14 myths about drawing, one by one, in each of the 14 perception changing exercises.
I take you through a series of unusual, targeted, exploratory and purposeul exercises to put you in touch with your senses, perception, and art supplies to get them all working together in exactly the ways that strengthen your fashion illustrations.
You can learn more about the MODEL MAGIC program here and also by following my instagram!
Also, if you are enrolled in any one of my courses (or even if you aren’t) you can enroll in weekly sketch sessions (4x/month) on zoom that I hand pick the images, poses and music for to challenge and inspire your fashion illustration growth through timed poses and freedomto practice, explore and discover. Follow your curiosity and expressing your love and creativity in fashion design.
